Do you wake up refreshed and ready to tackle the day? June 01 2015

If you're not waking up in the morning with the mojo to get your day started, first make sure you are getting enough sleep. The National Sleep Foundation recommends 7 to 9 hours for most adults; each person has slightly different sleep requirements.

If you are sleeping with your CPAP regularly and start to feel excessively sleepy during the day, your equipment could be the culprit. Replace leaky masks and other disposable equipment, and check your device. If it is several years old, it may no longer be functioning properly. It is very important you get the right pressure for you.

In fact, your needs may have changed over time. Has your weight changed since you were diagnosed? Sometimes people need to modify their pressure setting years after they start using CPAP due to physical changes.
